pedalling by Gordon Stewart.

Turns of Phrase: Marsden Parish Church, 7.30. Talk-demonstration on
the art of phrasing by Douglas Bell. Refreshments.

Dales Trail: A visit to a instruments of unusual interest. Meet at
Wood of Huddersfield at 9am. Lifts provided. Pub lunch.
September 3.
Art of the Transcriber: Huddersfield Town Hall, 7.30. Darius
Battiwalla considers the challenges of transcription and plays some
of his own.
October 15.
Annual Dinner: The Three Acres, Shelley, Huddersfield. Speaker: The
Very Rev George Austin, former Archdeacon of York.
November 8.
Victorian Values: Huddersfield Parish Church, 7.30. Talk/recital by
Simon Lindley, of Leeds Parish Church, on the rise, influence, and
approaches to English organ music of the 19th century.

Sing a new Song: All Hallows, Almondbury. Session on easy
anthems suitable for small choirs. Details later.

St Paul's Hall, University: Recital by student members. Details

Handel and the Organ: St Pauls Hall, 7.30. Talk-demonstration
by Dr Graham Cummings. Details later.

Two's Company: Keith Wright, assistant at Durham Cathedral, considers
the repertoire for organ and other instruments.

Kindling the Muse: Workshop-demonstration by Dr Alan Spedding of
Beverley Minster on the organist as composer including pieces by
association members.

Voicing opinion: Huddersfield organ builder, David Wood, on the art
and craft of pipe-making.
